4. At Tin Can Bay P – 10 State School we offer a very wide range of student support services. These include:  A Guidance Officer  Learning Support Staff  Special Education Teachers  A School Chaplain  A School-Based Youth Health Nurse – who provides health-related information and advice to students.  Peer Skills Program – Year 10 students are trained as mentors to younger students in the school.  Youth InSearch Camp Program  Loaded Lunch Boxes  Breakfast Club  Care Teachers  Life Skills Lessons  Friday Afternoon Sport  Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden  These specialists and support programs work in partnership with parents, classroom teachers, teacher aides and specialist agencies to ensure that we provide students with a diverse and responsive supportive environment.

5.  The core of our curriculum contains the National Curriculum, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Technology.  Students will study English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, German and HPE as Core Subject  Students will also have the opportunity to engage in the following elective subjects: DramaVisual Art Marine StudiesHome Economics ICT (Information & Communication Technology) ITD (Industrial Technology & Design)  We offer opportunities for Core, Extension and Foundation classes.
