5 Before we begin reading, lets explore some of the themes that can be found in this great epic. Of course, the themes are countless and we are going to evaluate only a few, but its important to get our brains thinking in the direction of…. THEME!

6 I am going to present you with several statements of THEME. You are going to declare whether you agree or disagree with these statements by standing by the appropriate sign. The signs range from 1 to 4, with 1 being STRONGLY AGREE to 4 being STRONGLY DISAGREE! So…lets go!
