Who are the Kangaroos? O Most Kangaroo students are energetic, love to have fun and are inquisitive! O Grade 2 & 3 O Ages 6 – 9

Focus this year: O Akhlaq O Lessons from Prophets & Companions O Spirituality O Introduction to Usul & Furu’ al Deen

Aklaq O Examining the meaning of having good akhlaq. What does it mean to be humble/forgiving/soft spoken etc? O Look at stories from our Prophets and Imams and detect what Akhlaq they are trying to teach us O Use the Quran and Prophet Muhammad as the guide to perfect our Akhlaq

Lessons from Prophets & Companions O Discuss stories from the life of Prophet Mohammad and what we can learn from them; focus on kindness and love of the Prophet (sawa) O Examine the friendship between Prophet Musa and Khidr, focus on humbleness and seeking knowledge O Adam & Eve, focus on blaming others and seeking forgiveness

Spirituality O Understand Quran better; Tafseer and link to real life O Learn special dua’s for prayers, hajj, fasting and for our family O Focus again on Tawheed; presence of Allah in our lives

Introduction to Usul and Furu’ al Deen O Learn about Usul and Furu al Deen O Why is it important that we learn about this? O Students learn basics of Usul and Furu’u al Deen

Akhlaq in Classroom O Encouraging good behavior in class and with others; - Setting our own classroom rules - “Manners bird” - Class Groups; exemplifying Allah’s names - Reading books
