10 Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Asia For current teachers who wish to be able to introduce topics related to Asia (and the languages of Asia) in their courses Online and intensive weekends in Sydney Four courses, taken over a period of one year Pathway to the Master of Asia Pacific Studies 10

11 Graduate Certificate in Linguistics For students with little or no background in the study of language and its applications One-semester program Focuses on the nature and structure of language Pathway to –Master of Applied Linguistics –Master of Linguistics 11

12 Master of Applied Linguistics For students interested in the application of linguistic knowledge to a variety of contexts, including second language learning and education For students with previous study of linguistics or applied linguistics, or who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Linguistics. One year program (2 semesters) 12

13 Master of App Ling (Research) Research training Independent study on an applied linguistics topic Three semester program –Two semesters coursework (Master of Applied Linguistics) –1 semester thesis component Pathway to further research in applied linguistics, including at PhD level 13
