CORE PURPOSES OF THE FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES (Strategic Plan 1999-2002) The core purposes for the Faculty of Health Sciences are: Provide education to the highest standard Produce research at the highest standard Apply this education and research to improve the health of individuals and the community

Values of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Faculty Strategic Plan 1999- 2002) The Faculty aims to contribute to enhancing physical, mental and social health and wellbeing of the community. The Faculty is guided by the Alma-Ata declaration of WHO which describes health as a fundamental human right. We believe that the highest possible level of health is a most important social goal, whose realisation requires action by other social and economic forces in addition to the health sector.
