Jennifer studied at Universities Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Muhammadiyah (UMM) in 2002. After ACICIS she won a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford University in 2006. Jennifer is currently doing a PhD in International Law and hopes to have a career in international dispute resolution and human rights in the Asia-Pacific. “ACICIS is a wonderful program and gave me opportunities that shaped the course of my life so far.” www.acicis.murdoch.edu.au

Simon took part in the 2008 Journalism Professional Practicum program in Jakarta. His internship was at radio station 68H, and he did several on air stories. Simon is now back in Sydney finishing his Masters in Journalism degree. “It was one of the most fascinating and insightful times of my life.” www.acicis.murdoch.edu.au

In 2007 Rebecca studied Islamic Business at the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) in Yogyakarta. Whilst there she also did an internship at a refuge for street children. She is currently looking for a media position with an NGO in Indonesia. “My experience in Indonesia has been the most valuable year of my life to date.” www.acicis.murdoch.edu.au

Deanne studied at UGM and UMM in 2002/3. She wrote her Malang field report on street children in Yogyakarta. After ACICIS she worked as a translator/editor for an NGO in Jakarta called Rahima. Deanne is now a Features Deputy Editor with The Jakarta Post, rubbing shoulders with celebrities like Nicolas Saputra (right). “ACICIS paved the path to my future.” www.acicis.murdoch.edu.au
