4 COUNSELLING TRAINING WITH SPECIALISATION IN Drugs And Alcohol Counselling Child and Family Counselling and Child Protection

5 SOCIAL HEALTH and COUNSELLING PROGRAM PG CERTIFICATE  4 units (total 16 credit points)  One year (2 units per semester = 10 days) Basic theory/skills development to get started in AOD or Child Protection or general counselling work

6 SOCIAL HEALTH and COUNSELLING PROGRAM PG DIPLOMA  8 units (total 32 credit points)  One year (Per semester 4 units = 20 days)  Two years (Per semester 2 units = 10 days)  Can articulate from PG Certificate (50% credit) Further theory/skills development to work in AOD or Child Protection or general counselling

7 SOCIAL HEALTH and COUNSELLING PROGRAM MASTER  14 units (total 64 credit points)  Two years (Per semester 4 units = 20 days)  Four years (Per semester 2 units – 10 days)  Can articulate from PG Diploma (50% credit) Advanced theory/skills development to work in AOD or Child Protection or general counselling plus applied research project

9 PG DIPLOMA UNITS PG CERTIFICATE UNITS PLUS Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Narrative Therapy Contemporary Issues Advanced Counselling

10 MASTERS UNITS PG CERTIFICATE UNITS PLUS PG DIPLOMA UNITS PLUS Trauma Group Therapy Narrative in Community Invitations to Responsibility Applied Research Project

13 SELECTION CRITERIA Personal suitability (interview) and previous relevant experience considered. Priority given to applicants who are either working or volunteering in the field, or who are actively looking for work/experience

14 FEES (2012) PG Certificate $2720 PG Diploma $5440 CSP (HECS) and HELP or 20% discount paid upfront
