1
A comparison between two 12 year old girls.
2
Me and Aklima are both 12 years old. I go to school and she works. She has no education and she gets no time to play. I have education and I do have the time to play.
3
I have a bedroom with things I need, and even then I have enough space to fit my wants. She lives in a small broken shed and she sleeps on old rags and trash.
4
I eat freshly cooked meals from a clean and fully operational kitchen. Aklima would be lucky enough if she possibly found any thing among the trash.
5
I have a wide selection of what to wear and I can clean them as well. What Aklima wears in the picture is what she wears everyday. It is dirty and she has nothing else to wear if it breaks or does not fit unless she really wants trash wrapped around her.
6
Now you see how unfair it is. We are the fortunate people who were lucky enough to live in Australia, one of the developed countries. We should be grateful for what we have because kids like Aklima are grateful for what they have because it could be worse.
