7. BEFORE E-LEARNING BEGINS… Schedule an in-person meeting with class ‘Buddy up’ students Demonstrate log-on procedures Identify note-taker or closed- captioner Give a hard-copy schedule/calendar of lessons Have students choose a partner to work with throughout the course

UDL STRATEGIES FOR WEBSITES AND COURSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS… Deliver information in multi-sensory ways (visual & auditory) Use a variety of teaching methods when presenting information (links, videos, group assignments, role playing & dialogues,etc.) Provide smaller, chunked sessions for increased attention Use captions on all visuals and graphics Use a variety of color and fonts in your presentation of information
