2. W HAT I S P REZI ? Prezi is a zooming presentation editor. In simple terms, Prezi is a program that teachers can use to create a presentation that CATCHES your attention. It is very similar to PowerPoint, but with more interesting features. Presentations are created on a large “canvas,” just like an art project. You can add text, images, and video to your presentation. How fun! Items on the canvas can be dragged, tilted, and zoomed. Can you imagine an alligator ZOOMING in as you sit at your seat? A “path” can be drawn between the text, images, and video to create an animation. Almost like a movie!

Text The WORDS on your canvas Place WHERE your text, image, or video is on your canvas Media WHAT you have on your canvas Frame Think of the frame as a “spotlight” on your text, image, or video Line You can draw a line to point to a key detail in your text or image Path The path of your Prezi is the journey that it will take from start to finish Show After all of your hard work, it is time to view the show! File Remember, it is always important to save your work. Click on “File” and then “Save and Close.”

Reflect: Which activity would be easier to understand? Which activity would be more interesting?
