Muslim Arths –Painting and sculpture were used to decorate buildings –Main characteristics: Poor building materials, such as bricks, plaster… These materials were covered with abundant decoration. Islam did not permit the representation of animals and people. Instead, geometrical and plant motifs were used They used horseshoe arches and domes in their buildings
