Access is a database software program. Databases are basically large lists of information of a certain sort for example Telephone directories These are just a paper based database of phone numbers With access you can create digital databases which ease the task of finding what you need from them

Access’ main boasts are its ability to create tables and forms which make creating databases quick and easy In the following video we will see briefly how this is done before going into more detail later on.

The Home Banner, From here we can change fonts, text formatting and size and all the basic options such as copy paste and the spell checker. The Create Banner, From here we can access all the options we need to create new tables, forms, reports and other things such as macros.

The External Data Banner, from here we can get to the options that allow us to import data from external sources and also move data to external locations. The Database Tools Banner, From this banner we are able to access the options that let us create all the sections of databases link all the data together.

The Datasheet banner, The datasheet banner is a pick of things from the other banners that will be most widely used. Table structure formatting and the data linking sections are found here
