Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21 st, 1685, in Eisenach, Saxe-Eisenach Sebastian was the youngest child of Johann Ambrosius Bach, the director of the towns musicians, and a member of a large family of German musicians.

Bach played a wide variety of instruments, including harpischord, and organ, and surveyed many different musical styles and techniques.

Sebastian wrote music for single instruments, duets, and small ensembles. Bach’s best known orchestral works are the Brandenburg concertos

Bach’s musical style came from his exposure to many different types of music, such as German and French music. His access to family musicians and instruments developed him to become an extraordinary musician.

On 28 July 1750 Bach died at the age of 65. His cause of death was listed as consequences of a very unsuccessful eye operation.
