Wind energy is the fastest growing source of energy in the world. Wind power is free except for buying the windmills. The first ever windmills were used to pump water and to grind grain for flour.

Wind Energy is good for the environment as it does not produce any green house gases and it doesn’t pollute the air. It also does not produce waste and it can go on forever, making it an ideal type of energy.

1: Wind power is free. 2: Wind power produces no waste of greenhouse gases. 3: The land beneath can usually still be used for farming. 4: Wind farms can be used for tourist attractions. 5: Wind power is a good way to supply power to rural places.

1: If the windmill goes to fast it can overheat. 2: Some days hove no wind, so no power. 3: Wind power can effect television reception of you live nearby. 4: Windmill locations are very limited. 5: Wind power can be very noisy.

Wind Energy works because of the sun. The sun heats the earth unevenly, so some patches are warmer. The warm air rises, and other air moves in to take its place, creating wind. Windmill propellers turn with the wind, and they turn the generator inside the windmill, generating electricity. Also, wind power is totally free because the sun’s heat doesn’t cost money(only the windmills and wind farms cost money).
