Overall rules: Input fields show allow for: * Percentage marking * Alpha numeric marking (F0-A16) * HND relevant marking (Pass, Merit, Distinction, Fail) Rules should be set up for each specific University to include * Grading criteria (see above) * Cap Percentage * Reporting criteria (see that section) When setting up an assessment, an option should be available to choose the rule linked to the specific University. Can we import assessment criteria from OFQUAL?? Marking students should be able to be done by: * Programme level * Module / Unit level * Class level (can this be pulled in from Pro Sol registers??) Non editable date field is populated when grade is inputted Link to feedback should be provided?? APL / RPL Not sure this is the right place for APL – maybe reports? Space should be available to record APL for each student and ensure this is part of the calculation for their final grade – is this a manual input or pulled from Pro Sol???? A number of pre defined assessment types should be available for setting up - Report - Exam - Presentation - Essay - Practical * Assessment name field should be editable * Number of assessments per unit / module should be flexible. All assessments linked to a unit / module should calculate to 100% of the module. -Flag if not * Number of components per assessment should be flexible. Components should calculate 100% weighting of the assessment they are attached to. – flag if not Assessments should be held in a central repository so they can be applied to any assessment by people with relevant permission levels. Resit opportunities should be flagged (only by admin level) and the specific capping rule applied – this depends on the university, in general it is capped at 40% but this can change. Space should be made to record the original grade and also the capped grade. Other codes to be available (in drop down box or notes field - or both?) which generate specific flags (again only flagged by admin? And capped??) * Impaired Performance * Academic Misconduct * Extensions * Special Assessment Periods Cross Pollination of achievement Ability to mark student as complete in a number of areas if achieved the same outcomes in one module Is this just another code perhaps?? Deadlines: * Allow individual deadline dates and choose code why - students completing the same assessment may have valid reasons for submitting at different points *
