Leonardo was also an inventor, but almost none of his inventions were built during his lifetime. He’s inventions were ahead of his time period and even if they tried to built them they wouldn’t have had the tools needed. This is a sketch of a flying machine, it is based on the flight of birds. His anatomy of the human body began with his apprenticeship to Andrea del Verrocchio, and he quickly became master of topographic anatomy. Vitruvius Man is a study of the human body, linking art and science. Leonardo’s study of a fetus in the womb.

Leonardo Da Vinci was more than just a scientist and artist. He was also knows for being a sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, geologist, writer, and other thinks. This is why he is called “The Renaissance Men.”
