User Profile Users of the Chapman building include students, faculty, maintenance workers, and janitorial staff all of which are there to some extent on a daily basis. Students and faculty are there for extended hours during classes, study sessions, and meetings. This includes both day and night occupancy. Maintenance workers are there for extended hours when a repair or extensive maintenance work is needed, such as system repairs. The janitorial staff maintains the Chapman building when the rooms are not in use. The maintenance staff interacts with the fire safety system only if a repair or testing is needed. Students, faculty, and janitorial staff interact with fire exits and stairs on a daily basis. Other fire safety components such as fire extinguishers would only be used if a fire emergency was taking place.
