2012 – 2017 Strategic Plan Vision for Gymnastics in 2017 That the gymnastics club is a hub of the local community That gymnastics is seen as one of the top three sports in the Uk That the British Gymnastics brand is nationally and internationally recognised That our success is recognised through the creation and use of global icons

Strategic Priorities 1.Create a brand that reflects the values of the sport and unifies the gymnastics community in the UK 2.Ensure systems and processes enable the effective and efficient delivery of the sport in the UK 3.Invest in the development of coaches and associated delivery systems 4.Define new markets/experiences for the 9+ cohort and introduce strategies to stimulate greater participation

Strategic Priorities 5.Strengthen and support the high performance network/system across all disciplines 6.Increase club access to facilities and new spaces resulting from austerity measures being introduced in local government and businesses 7.Assist clubs and coaches to fill the gap in service provision in schools and identify future talent 8.Create a spectacular event in every major city designed to entertain a non-gymnastics’ audience

Development Team Key Aims Increase participation in gymnastics through continuing to develop the core offer for 6 – 11 year olds Focus on retaining and growing participants aged 11-25 years old through providing relevant activities For and improve existing partnerships with delivery partners to enable the delivery of gymnastics Establish and empower gymnastics networks involving a range of delivery partners to deliver provision locally

Delivery Partners Provide support to club leaders Establish satellite venues Develop existing and form new partnerships with leisure providers Deliver and implement the BG Schools offer and club – school partnerships Increase HE / FE participation through partnerships with the wider gymnastics community
