1. Quicksmart Literacy 2010

2. Quicksmart at DMSC We have completed around 24 weeks with a few interruptions along the way. We have 10 year 7 students and 8 year 8 students on the QS program with 10 Comparison students. We have had 2 year 7 students leave the program, 1 left the school and the other played up and was taken out. We replace them with another 2 year 7 students.

3. QS at DMSC cont. Resource we use are: - QS flash cards - Timer - Games - Text from the QS resources - Vicki used the Excel English workbooks, that had the story and worksheets at different year levels (3,4,5 and 6) ** Pictures are on next slide**

10. Your students as learners We have notice over the last few months of doing QS with the students their confident levels have increased. They are will to read out aloud in class Some have moved up a level in their spelling groups Positive attitudes towards doing homework and class work.

11. Development of new passages We haven’t really development any new passages, as yet but looking at doing it next year, for the different levels of students coming up. Vicki did start to develop a new passage but never got it finished.
