Security Systems BU Communication SystemsDCN ST/SEU-CO 1 ApplicationNote MCCU 09.12.2004 How to install a Multi-CCU system

Security Systems BU Communication SystemsDCN ST/SEU-CO 2 ApplicationNote MCCU 09.12.2004 1. Stand alone. The following steps are required to ensure correct operation: Step 1. SLAVE MCCU’s Set DIP-switch S12 to define the card’s ‘Slave Address’ in each Multi-CCU. See I/O manual Chapter 4. One system can handle max.16 Multi-CCU’s all with a dedicated address. One of these Multi-CCU’s must be set with address 0. All others are selectable from address 1 till 31. How to install a Multi-CCU system Step 2. Master_CCU_PC Settings on the LBB3511/00 PC Card for Multi-CCU Systems placed in the Master_CCU_ PC with OS/2 operating system. Set DIP-switch S13 to define the card’s I/0-address. See I/O manual Chapter 5. Default I/O address: 0200 HEX (dip-switch positions 1=OFF, 2=ON, 3=OFF, 4=OFF, 5=OFF, 6=OFF, 7=OFF, 8=OFF)

Security Systems BU Communication SystemsDCN ST/SEU-CO 3 ApplicationNote MCCU 09.12.2004 Step 3. Make all coaxial connections between the Master_CCU_PC and slave CCU’s How to install a Multi-CCU system Step 4. Install the Multi-CCU Software LBB3586/00 on the Master_CCU_PC (OS/2). The SW version must be equal as installed in the slave CCU’s! Step 5. Make the configuration you need. See Instruction for Use manual (LBB3586/00). Step 6. Test the system and you are finished with the Multi CCU Stand alone system. Notes: Default I/O address: 0200 HEX and IRQ10 are default set in the Config.sys file on the C-drive. “DEVICE=C:\DCN\MCCU\MTD.sys -p:0x200 -i:10 -m:0xD0000” Remark: If there is a conflict with other hardware addresses or Interrupt settings, than change the card address and Config.sys file. The IRQ can only be changed in the Config.sys file.

Security Systems BU Communication SystemsDCN ST/SEU-CO 4 ApplicationNote MCCU 09.12.2004 2. With Control-PC and ‘INDIRECT’ connection via the DCN PC-Interface card LBB3510/00 How to install a Multi-CCU system Follow Step 1 till 6 from the Stand alone system. Connect the Control-PC to one of the slave CCU’s via the interface cable that belongs to the Interface card. Start a test with all required SW application modules in combination with this CCU only, don’t start the Multi_CCU_PC. When everything works perfect, start the Multi_CCU_PC and set this slave CCU in the configuration setup of the LBB3586/00 as the slave CCU with the Control PC connected. For more information see Instructions for Use manual (LBB3586).

Security Systems BU Communication SystemsDCN ST/SEU-CO 5 ApplicationNote MCCU 09.12.2004 3. With PC Control and ‘DIRECT’ connection via the Comport of the Master_CCU_ PC (OS/2). How to install a Multi-CCU system Follow Step 1 till 6 from the Stand alone system. Make the connection between the DCN Control-PC and the Master_CCU_PC use the cable as showed below.

Security Systems BU Communication SystemsDCN ST/SEU-CO 6 ApplicationNote MCCU 09.12.2004 The Baud-rate setting of the Master_CCU_PC Port (1 or 2) and the corresponding Control-PC Port (1 or 2) must be equal! Serial Port, Baud-rate and Protocol settings on the Master_CCU_PC can be changed in the CCU_CFG file. This file is located in the ‘C:\DCN\MCCU\’ directory. The supplied CCU_CFG file contains the following default values for these three settings: *SERIALPORT2 1 *SERIALSPEED2 115200 *SERIALPROTOCOL2 FULL (*)More information can be found in the Readme.txt file of the MCCU SW LBB3586.  The Baud-rate setting on the DCN Control-PC can be changed in the DCN.ini file in the Windows (95 & 89) or WINNT (NT & 2000) directory. [Server] SerialLink=Yes [Serial Link] ComPort=1 Baudrate=115200 FullProtocol=Yes How to install a Multi-CCU system = COM 1
