4.  One of the easiest ways to integrate spreadsheets into curriculum is using charts.  We will explore the 4 main types of charts in Excel: Pie Line Bar Scatter

5.  Open MS Excel and complete the tasks given to create each chart type.  Look for ways that you can use charts in your instruction and be prepared to share with group. Save your files for future reference!

7.  Relative Cells are cells whose content will change when a formula or function is copied to other cells.  With absolute cells, the content stays the same, even when copied to other cells. Example: Absolute cells are used when a value in a formula needs to remain constant. Formula- C2*D2/C10 Absolute Formula- C2*D2/$D$10 (Which cell is Absolute?)

8.  Simply add “$” to the Cell Address (D10 became $D$10)  OR  In formula window, go to part that needs to be absolute and hit F4 key.

9.  Save time by using various shortcuts: Selecting/Highlighting Cells Fill Button Making a cell absolute Etc…
