Freshman cohorts tend to have the highest…… Discipline referrals to the office Dropout Rates---if you dont leave 9 th grade with at least English, Algebra I, and Wellness credit you will most likely drop out Truancy Rates Failure Rates--- 45% of students give up by end of grade 9 if they experience failure

The Freshman Opportunity…. It is our goal to help you believe that you can graduate and succeed in postsecondary education. It is our responsibility to provide the tools to you so that you can achieve Standardized expectations Standardized classroom management Organization and time management skills Study skills Advisory Groups (small, cared-about groups)

ACADEMIC INFORMATION The Class of 2015 will be the third class to be in the Tennessee Diploma Project. One Path 28 Credits Elective Focus Students are encouraged to take Honors and Advanced Placement Courses

AVID - Advancement Via Individual Determination What is AVID? AVID, is an elementary through postsecondary college readiness system that is designed to increase schoolwide learning and performance. AVID focuses on the least served students in the academic middle.
