ir - to go ir a + infinitive - to be going to

‘Ir’ is an irregular verb. Normally you would remove the‘ir’ infinitive ending, which leaves the stem. However, in this case when that ending is removed there is no stem so one was created. Also, instead of ‘ir’ endings, this verb has ‘ar endings.’
