4. Recommended Additions to Digital I&C Standards Address other technologies in addition to “digital computers” in IEEE Std. 7-4.3.2 – Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) – Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

5. Planned I&C Standards Harmonization IEEE Std. 497 Accident Monitoring Instrumentation – No equivalent in IEC IEEE Std. 7-4.3.2 with IEC 60880 Resolve independence issues between IEEE Std. 384 (physical) and IEEE Std. 7-4.3.2 (communications)
