2. Government Activities Statement of Objectives To promote public policy involvement and awareness. To coordinate region participation in activities such as CVD and IEEE-USA activities. To be a liaison between Region 5 and IEEE-USA and between the sections and Region 5.

3. Government Activities Section Support Direct section leadership and members to IEEE-USA policy statements. IEEE-USA committee membership is welcome. Coordinate section participation in the Congressional Visits Days (CVD). Region provides some funding for participation. Provide information on WISE (student) and Congressional Fellowship programs.
