Session 5: Classroom Environment and Culture What strategies create a safe, respectful classroom culture that embraces diversity, equity, and accountability? CEC2: Accessibility and use of materials – Gives students access to resources on line – Content and schedules are accessible 24/7 CEC 3:Discussion and accountability – Online discussion forums and blogs – Calendars – to help student manager their learning and schedules CEC4: Use of learning time – Cuts down on transition times when resources are posted – Student manage their time – Helps maximize instructional time CEC6: Student Status – Discussion posts – allow for all voices to be heard

Session Objectives and Success Criteria Discover innovative ways to use pages in SWIFT to help with the Classroom Environment and Culture dimension of CEL 5D+ By the end of the lesson participants will be able to : – Make External Menu links – Use categories for pages for easy navigation and visual cues – Use the pin to help in use of learning time – Choose page types that will help with classroom routines and rituals
