The mainland of Great Britain consists of three countries: Scotland, Wales and England.
In general, Scotland is colder throughout the year, and receives more rain. But sometimes it is hot. The culture of the people of the Britain Isles was influenced by the culture of the people on the European mainland. In 1066, England was conquered by the French. France control England. Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland held together and formed UK. There are still people who also speak the older European languages, Welsh and Irish.
