4Q2 1.Set up cards as Si Stebbins Stack 2.Ask spectator to tell you to stop whilst flicking through the cards. Tell them these will be their 2 cards. 3.Stop, give the spectator the 2 cards where you stopped. Cut the deck from that spot. 4.Tell them you will ask the deck 4 questions and you will find out what card they have. 5.From the top of the deck count off the word “color” and put them down, face down. DO NOT count them straight onto the table, keep the stack in order. Flip another card face up. This shows the colour of one of the cards. What You Need: Deck of Playing Cards Minimum 1 spectator

4Q2 What You Need: Deck of Playing Cards Minimum 1 spectator 6.Repeat step 5, replacing “color” with “number” for the number of the same card. This means you know the colour and number of your spectator’s cards 7.Redo step 5 again, replacing “color with “answer” (or “hearts” if red, “spades” if black). This tells you the suit of their card. So you know the number and suit of their card. But just to be sure… 8.Do step 5 one more time, considering you have 1 question left, but this time replace “color” with “match” to find out this card’s soul mate. E.g. Ace of Clubs and Ace of Spades. 9.Ask your spectator to turn over the card you’ve revealed.

4Q2 What You Need: Deck of Playing Cards Minimum 1 spectator 10.Say to them “I’ve used my 4 questions!” Then to find their second card, flip over the cards from color to match and tell them their card as you flip the cards. 11.Pack up by: Put the cards of the spectator on the bottom of the deck (in the same order of the Si Stebbins Stack) Flip the decks of the cards you used to find the spectators cards, put the face up cards on the bottom of the same deck face down. Put the cards back on the deck as follows: match, answer, number, color.

What’s Up? What You Need: Deck of Playing Cards Some sticky tape Minimum 1 spectator 1.Fold the sticky tape so it works like double-sided tape and place it in your left hand 2.Ask the spectator to pick a card, have a look and put it anywhere in the deck. 3.Get their card back to the top of the deck via pinkie break or false cuts... 4.With out them looking, slide the tape onto their card and hid the deck from view. 5.Throw the deck onto the ceiling and their card will be stuck. Ask if this is their card.
8
Spell that Card What You Need: Deck of Playing Cards Minimum 1 spectator 1.Take a look at the card on the bottom of a deck. (e.g. 2 of Hearts) 2.Ask the spectator to pick a card and have a look. 3.Split the deck into 4 to 8 piles. Ask your spectator to put their card onto any pile. If they put their card on the deck with the 2 of hearts then cut that deck. 4.Stack the decks up so the 2 of Hearts is on top of their card. 5.From the top of the deck, (count in your head) count off 5 cards face up (1 down, next down…) and move onto a new pile. 6.Count off like step 6, but as soon as you see the 2 of Hearts stop. The next card will be theirs. Remember it. Count off 10 more cards.

Spell that Card What You Need: Deck of Playing Cards Minimum 1 spectator 7.Doing the same as step 5, make a new pile and spell out their card (in your head) e.g. a, c, e, o, f, s, p, a, d, e, s. 8.Finish off the deck like step 5, varying in size. 9.Stack the deck up as follows: the spelled out deck, the deck with the spectator’s cards and the rest. 10.Cut to a random card and ask if this is their card. Of course it isn’t! Put the cards back in the same order. 11.Ask to take a look at their hand. Make it look like you are reading the lines. Announce their card and spell out the card to prove it. 12.After spelling out their card, flip the next card. There it is!!!

Repeat this 4 times. Then slide the top and bottom card to the top of the deck. 4.Show the spectator the bottom of the deck.
