Q uestionnaire Feedback Results XO Productions

QUESTION 1 Summary: We asked this question because we didn’t want to go ahead with our plot if the audience found it confusing or didn’t understand. From this feedback we concluded that our audience did understand the storyline therefore will enjoy our final short film more no we know that they understand.

QUESTION 2 What would you recommend we did differently? Provide characteristics for the kidnapper, why is he stalking her? Add more speech/dialogue Drag on the forest scene Shoot at night Include more scenes Make radio shot longer Summary: We asked this question because we wanted to know how to make our final short film stronger. From the feedback we decided that we would come up with a reason why the girls being stalked as well as maybe adding a voiceover over the top. However we thought shooting at night would be too difficult because of the lighting situation and wondered if it would come up too dark when editing.

QUESTION 3 Summary: We asked this question because we wanted to make sure they could distinguish the characters roles and what the purpose was for each of them. From this feedback we decided that our characters had clear roles but may add slightly more characteristics for the kidnapper to get a stronger feel for him.

QUESTION 4 Can you think of a good name for our film? The fight back Taken? The kidnapping? Stalker activity? Captured Stalker in disguise Turned tables He’s behind you Summary: We decided to ask this question to our audience because we couldn’t think of a strong and original name for our short film and wanted to get some different perspectives and also some fresh ideas. From looking at the feedback we all decided that we liked the name Turned Tables for our short film.

QUESTION 5 Summary: We asked this question to see if the shots we’d chosen to use for our short film were varied and if we’d used enough camera angles and movements. From the feedback you can see that the people we asked thought we had enough variety to our film.

QUESTION 6 If no then what other shots can we use? Eye line match Summary: We asked this question following on from the previous one to see if there were any camera shots that they thought would improve our film and make it stronger. From the feedback one person suggested using an eye line match so we plan to fit this camera shot in somewhere in our final short film.

QUESTION 7 Summary: We decided to ask this question to see if our audience liked the twist we came up with at the end or if it was a bit boring. From the feedback we saw that the majority liked it, however the one that said no suggested adding more shots for that scene to add more suspense.

QUESTION 8 Summary: We decided to ask this question to see if the audience expected the twist or if it was a bit predictable. From the feedback we saw that most people didn’t expect the twist but quite a few did so we want to try and make it less predictable by adding more mystery within our camera shots.

QUESTION 9 Summary: We decided to ask this question to see if our peers thought we had enough qualities of our chosen genre or if we needed to add more tension to keep our audience interested. From our feedback you can see that our peers thought we did create enough suspense and mystery therefore we want to keep this in our final film.

QUESTION 10 Summary: We decided to ask this question to see if our storyline needed adding to or if it was a strong story. From the results you can see we have ranged from thee 2 – 4 rating which means we have room to improve. As a group we have decided to add to the script by adding in why the stalker is stalking the girl which will make it more appealing.

QUESTION 11 Summary: We decided to ask this question to see if we should make these sound bites a prominent sound feature in our final film. From our results you can see that our viewing peers thought the sound bites were well matched therefore we will be trying to incorporate these in our final film.
