2. INTERVIEW Reporter: Sam, why did you come to the New World? Sam: Well, Reverend Hunt the leader of my orphanage was going to the New World and he decided to take me and a couple other boys with him. Reporter: What things were you looking forward to doing when you got to the New World? Sam: I was looking forward to finding lots of gold. Reporter: Did you find gold? Sam: Yes I am still wearing rags as clothes even though I have found gold. Reporter: Okay, no need to get snotty. And finally, what challenges did you face when you got to the New World. Sam: When we got there a challenge was diffidently the neighboring Indian tribes. Another challenge was that for a while the entire town got sick and hungry and there was nothing we could do about it. Reporter: Thank you for your time.
