1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow The 1980 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXII Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event celebrated in Moscow in the Soviet Union. The 1980 Games were the first to be staged in Eastern Europe.

It consisted of five platinum coins, six gold coins, 28 silver coins and six copper-nickel coins. The 2014 Winter Olympics sports Fifteen winter sport disciplines, organized as seven olympic sports, were included in the 2014 Winter Olympics.
