Personalised learning | 21 st Century skills | Raising standards Involving others At present our curriculum frameworks place a number of obstacles in the path of an integrated approach. In the first instance, we make it almost impossible to recognise and acknowledge forms of knowledge which do not fit neatly into our existing curriculum boxes.

Personalised learning | 21 st Century skills | Raising standards Involving others As a result many young people either do not value, or are not given recognition for, the potentially wide range of skills and expertise that they develop in their out-of-school lives or in non ‘mainstream’ activities.

Personalised learning | 21 st Century skills | Raising standards Involving others Secondly, many individuals and organisations with knowledge and resources to offer to education often find no easy ‘hooks’ into the formal school system.

Personalised learning | 21 st Century skills | Raising standards Learning Environments “At the heart of personalisation is the understanding that learning environments comprise the totality of factors with which the learners interact, including people, spaces and resources. It is an ecology of learning in which both the learner and their environment respond flexibly to constant change in interaction with each other.”

Personalised learning | 21 st Century skills | Raising standards There's an ugly term, Business Intelligence (or BI), used to describe the ability to draw together different strands of information from around an institution, and present and analyse it in real-time. It means, in a local authority, that you can create a single picture of attendance, attainment and exclusions, alongside key financial targets across the whole authority data set, and then map that against your wider CYPP targets. Office Performance Point Server 2007 provides all of the functionality that is needed for performance management including scorecards, dashboards, management reporting, analytics, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation. The application reaches all employees, across all business functions (finance, operations, marketing, sales, and human resources). Product launch invitation: Performance Point Server 2007
