Environmental Engineer is a technical person who works in the fields of followings:
To optimum use of natural sources such as air water soil
Preventing and controlling the factors which pollute these sources
Preventing the aesthetic and economical loss due to pollution
Developing the suitable environmental conditions

14. OUR DEPARTMENT
With the start of South East Anatolian Project, in terms of environment, important changes and negativities are expected in the region. In this wiev Region and it s sources are an important study and research subjects.
Therefore, Environmental Engineering departmant which started it s activities in 1993, the foundation year of Harran University, takes great responsibilities about the resolution of environmental problems. The first students are accepted to the departman in the educational term. Currently 185 students are continuing to their training. Every year about 60 students join to the departmant. In our faculty in Osmanbey campus, there are 2 Proffessors, 1 Assoc Prof , 8 Assist Prof , 1 Lecturer, 3 Research Assistant.
