ALL ABOUT MADAM C.J. WALKER’S LIFE GROWING UP! Do you know what life was like when Sara Breedlover was growing up? Well I would say tiring. Sara Breedlover was born two days before Christmas in 1867 to Owen and Minerva Breedlover. Sara was a free born baby even though her parents were slaves. Sara lived with her sister and four brothers. Her mom got very sick and died that’s when her dad got remarried but died shortly after.

GROWING UP WITH MADAM C.J.WALKER Sara married Moses McWilliams so she could have a “home of her own”. In June 6’1885 Lelia was born, Sara’s daughter. Two years later Moses died. In age 51 Madam C.J. Walker past away because of hypertension and kidney failure.

GOALS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS Have you ever wondered why we honor Sara Breedlover? Sara Breedlover helped black women keep their hair heir healthy and longer. We also celebrate her because of her hard work of helping others. Also, she was going through lot’s of trouble, yet she was very helpful. Overall, one way we can honor Sara is by celebrating black history month.

SURPRISING FACTS ABOUT MADAM C.J. WALKER Whaaaat? Did you know some of these facts about Sara Breedlover? Well the first one is that Sara changed her name to Madam C.J. Walker because her third husband used to call her madam and when he died she changed her name to Madam C.J. Walker. Madam C.J.Walker’s granddaughter is still alive today. She was married to three different husbands. Aren’t those facts surprising? In addition, I would really like to know more!
