3. Some of the new techniques have gained considerable acceptance, particularly in large companies. In smaller companies however, they do not seem to have as much applicability.

4. Further, unanimously, industrial engineers agree that the new techniques will never obsolete such traditional procedures as time study, process charting, operation analysis and the like. Work measurement techniques such as time study, work sampling and standard data or time formulas are an excellent example of endurance of traditional industrial engineering methods. These traditional techniques have equal applicability in small and large companies.
