FINAL PR CHANGES The Program MUST Provide 54 Mo of Clin NS Education. A Minimum of 21 Months MUST Occur at the Primary Clin Site This MUST Include a Minimum of 6 Mo of Structured Education in Gen Patient Care and a Minimum of 42 Mo of Operative Neurological Surgery

FINAL PR CHANGES During the First 18 Mo of Education Residents MUST Have 3 Mo of Basic Clin Neuroscience Educ and At Least 3 Mo of Crit Care Educ Applicable to the Neurosurgical Patient (FAQ Clarifies that 6 Mo of Crit Care Satisfies This Requirement) The Remaining Months of the Program MUST Be Used for Elective Clin Educ and/ or Research

FINAL PR CHANGES Case Log Now Has 3 Levels of Participation: Assistant Resident Surgeon Senior Resident Surgeon Lead Resident Surgeon At Least 85% of a Program’s Residents taking the ABNS Written Exam for Credit for the first time during past 7 years MUST Pass.

FINAL PR CHANGES At Least 80% of a Program’s Graduates taking the ABNS Oral Exam for the first time during the past 7 years MUST Pass If fewer than 10 Program Graduates have taken the Oral Exam in the past 7 years, then at least 80% of the last 10 Graduates taking the Oral Exam for the first time MUST Pass
