* Article II is the result of two polarizing fears of Americans during 18 th century… 1.) an executive that was too weak to deal with the country’s problems 2.) an executive that was powerful enough to tyrannize the newly established nation (Alexander Hamilton and James Madison addressed these concerns in the Federalist Papers)

Article II of the United States Constitution * Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, as well as the Attorney General. * Vice President * Article II of the U.S. Constitution creates the executive branch of the federal government; the President, the Vice President and other executive officers chosen by the President.
