3. I NTRO FORMATION Oil was formed 500-300 million years ago. It was formed from plants and animals. The plants and animals died and sank to the bottom and sand turned into rock and pushed down on it. The plants and animals turned into oil witch we use every day.

4. HISTORY Oil is used in many ways throughout history. The first oil well was in 1859. In 1913 Henry Ford made mass production automobiles.

5. LOCATION Oil is found in many different regions of the world. Huge oil fields are in Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Alaska.

6. OBTAINING Man must drill deep into the earths crush to obtain oil When oil is obtained we send it to a refinery to get cleaned. After that we can use it.

7. ADVANTAGES People use oil for cars, air planes and a lot of other automobiles. People use it to heat homes and light houses.

8. D ISADVANTAGES If an animal falls into an oil well it can DIE!!! All oil causes POLLUTION!!! Oil is nonrenewable.

9. FUTURE OF OIL Oil is nonrenewable so we need to conserve it. Oil will last about 60-80 more years but if we can conserve it will last about 70-90 more years. Scientists are trying to make more technologies to save it.☻
