College Visitations Call for appointment (Admissions, Financial Aid, tour) Excused from NC for 2 days (can not exceed the ten-day maximum and no visits during May). College Visit forms due three school days prior to visit. Wednesday, October 13 th – College & Career Day

Visiting the Campus Speak to Admissions and Financial Aid Tour – with college student, classes in session, if possible – return on your own Speak to faculty in the programs that interest you. Eat lunch Visit the dorms, computer facilities, read the newspaper, chat with students.

Questions to Ask Average number of students in a class? What academic programs is the college known for? Security of the campus? Health Clinic, Hospital nearby? Banks? Churches? How are roommates assigned? College Scholarships available? Financial Aid? Tutoring available?

College Applications Check on-line applications (sometimes there is no fee) Type applications (or print). Have someone proof read it Don’t leave blank spaces. Get applications in early….by Christmas! If you need recommendations – ask the person who is filling one out for you at least two weeks before it is due.
