Tropical Cyclone Services Forecasts and Warnings for Fiji, Tonga, Niue, Cook Islands, Tuvalu, Tokelau, Kiribati, Banaba, Nauru. Tropical Disturbance Advisories/Summaries to all National Meteorological Services in the region and elsewhere. Tropical Cyclone Advisories for international air navigation in area Equator to 40ºS btn 160ºE to 120ºW. TC Sigmets- Within Nadi FIR International marine warnings for area from Equator to 25ºS between 160 º E to 120 º W. CREX to NWP Centres

Needs and Requirements More data in data sparse areas eg ocean area Hourly observations and upper air data from Island countries Global models- model for Fiji and other Island countries Climate data for Island countries Capacity development especially in disaster risk applications such as hazard and impact analysis Need to establish hazard data archives Education and outreach activities directed at key stakeholders and the public at large

SWFDDP MetConnect Pacific- used daily by forecasters FMS provides 3 monthly reports to MetConnect Pacific on severe weather which affected Fiji like Heavy swells, Heavy rain, strong winds.
