Vision The leading university network in technology for Research, Education and Innovation in Europe A central player in the development of Knowledge & Innovation Communities in Europe. The prime partner for Industry Cooperation at the European level

Mission Enhance cooperation among members to promote exchange, cooperation and interaction between students, faculty and administrative staff Provide a strategic platform for joint programmes within education, research and innovation for its members Develop interaction, cooperation and joint programmes with associate members

Mission Promote exchange of ideas to support best practice in all aspects of university management and leadership Provide a forum for strategic policy discussions among the leadership of CLUSTER universities Benefit from EU programmes within education, research and innovation

Mission Become a strategic partner with the European Commission Take a lead in pedagogical development to strengthen the education at the MSc and PhD level for CLUSTER members Build partnerships with major European enterprises Become the first choice for MSc engineering students in and outside Europe

General Assembly Steering Committee Tasks Forces International Dimension University Management Libraries Grants and Application Support Sino-European Platform Presidency: INSTITUTO SUPERIOR TÉCNICO

Working Groups Departments ME: Mechanical Engineering SES: Sustainable Energy System IND: Industrial Engineering CIV: Civil Engineering Dual Masters policy group Librarians Cluster Technology Entrepreneurship Doctoral Schools

Students How can students benefit from CLUSTER? Exchange of students with institutions of strong international orientation Offering of double degree programmes and mutual recognition of degrees Registration in Student Exchange Database

D Univ. A D Univ. B BSc Univ A Goal Creating the most competitive MSc Programmes in Europe – basis for Erasmus Mundus applications.

Student Exchange Database All exchange students in mobility from or to a CLUSTER university are entitled to be registered in the database. Students enter the data, home university validates them. Curriculum vitae, academic results, data on mobility…. Data visible to companies for recruitment Mutual and Automatic Recognition of degrees CLUSTER Dual Master joint certificate signed by the two Rectors

 No prolongation of the studies is required and no paperwork added. Students keep paying tuition fees at the home university  Thesis work can be performed at a third university or in a company  Two degrees are delivered simultaneously Dual Masters A PROFOUND CHANGE TO ENGINEERING EDUCATION Students spend one academic year in their home CLUSTER university and one year in a second CLUSTER university. Specific Agreements are signed between couple of universities in the different field.

MSc Programmes A PROFOUND CHANGE TO ENGINEERING EDUCATION  Transparency and mobility across Europe  Close cooperation with industry and public services  Integrated management and entrepreneurship education: new level of preparation for future leaders in business and technology Joint degrees (diplomas) with EIT and CLUSTER label
