Learning to Drink Isa. 55:1; John 7:37-39; Psalm 36:8

“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. ~ Isa 55:1 37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. ~ Jn 7:37-39 “Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. 3 7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. 8 they drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; And You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. 9 For with You is the fountain of life; ~ Psalm 36:7-9a

10 Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers. 11 The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there. 13 The name of the second river is Gihon; it flows around the whole land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is Tigris; it flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. (Gen. 2: 10-14)

22 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. ~ Rev. 22:1-2

How to Drink Become physically still (lie down if possible) Play “soaking” music Be quiet (don’t pray!) Choose one truth to dwell on (your “north star”) Otherwise, tell your mind to be quiet If “to do list” thoughts come, write them down and go back to soaking Set a time goal Drink, then drink some more!
