Synopsis
8
Act I Romeo from the Montague family, and Juliet from the Capulet family, meet at the Capulet’s Party. They fall in love yet to realize that they are each enemies of the other's family. However, their love is stronger than their loyalty to their families.
9
Act II Afterwards, Romeo sneaks into the Capulet’s mansion and Romeo and Juliet declare their love to each other. They decide to marry and when Romeo sneaks into her room again, they are secretly married.
10
Act III The next day, The Montagues meet Tybalt. Tybalt being the relatively violent Capulet fights and kills Mercutio. Then out of rage, Romeo kills Tybalt and is banned from Verona.
11
Act IV Soon after, Juliet finds out she is to marry Paris. After failing to convince her father otherwise, she hatched a plan. She drank a poison that took away all signs of life for a certain time. Everyone thought she was dead, so she obviously did not have to marry Paris and instead a funeral took place.
12
Act V Romeo, unaware that Juliet really wasn’t dead, heard the news, and drank real poison. Once Juliet had awoken, she saw Romeo dead, and stabs herself.
