He was left-handed and dyslexic All his life he would make spelling mistakes because he didn’t have a proper education He was vegetarian Leonardo enjoyed purchasing caged birds so that he could set them free

He only did around 20 paintings He had more than 4100 sheets full of drawings and notes of ideas for new inventions It took him until his death to keep on touching up Mona Lisa’s lips (16 years)

Da Vinci became famous because he was an apprentice to Andrea del Verrocchio, who was the best painter and sculptor of his time. Since people knew Verrocchio, they began to know Leonardo. At first, Da Vinci helped Verrocchio with some of his paintings He then became an independent master He made his first scientific drawing not so long after he became a master

There are many hypothesis: He didn’t have enough money He didn’t have enough materials He tried but it was too risky so he abandoned

Here are MY hypothesis: He wasn’t aloud by the government He tried in secret so he may have succeeded but he maybe wanted to keep it to himself BUT he died maybe earlier than he had planned so he didn’t have time to show everyone

Da Vinci was ahead of his time (Really?! A helicopter in the Renaissance!!! THAT’s kinda cool!)
