Basically, he was a painter. He was one of the best humanists in Renaissance. Leonardo was born in Florence April 15, 1452. He had a reputation for finishing all his creations but there were exceptions. Basic Information

Famous Creations As we know he painted and wrote things that are impressive, full of mystery. Like for example The Mona Lisa or La Gioconda, The last supper or The Vitruvian Man. He has a lot of knowledge so apart from painting, he draw some planes of inventions he did. He wrote, as I said before, a lot of notes about anatomy. These studies were recorded in 13,000 pages of notes and drawings.

The Vitruvian Man is a drawing created by Leonardo Da Vinci circa 1490. We can see a man in two positions inside a square and a circle. Some notes were written above and below the drawing. The measurements written are right so that is the mystery of this. How did he know that? It is thought that its name come from an ancient man named Vitruvius. VITRUVIAN MAN

It is a half-length portrait of a woman, which has been acclaimed as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world. "The painting, thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherdani, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo, is in oil and is believed to have been painted between 1503 and 1506. Nowadays, it is in the Louvre Museum. A lot of mystery surrounds this painting. It is absolutely perfect and Da Vinci was really in love with this painting. It is believed that a secret code is hidden inside it When you move her eyes follow you. The golden rectangle Is present in all Leonardo’s paintings. MONA LISA

One of Leonardo’s pupils did a replica (the one at the bottom) this one is at the Museo Del Prado, in Madrid. The background of the portrait was black but then they discovered a landscape hidden behind it.

He wrote about everything he could write about. About anatomy, but he draw a lot of planes of inventions. A crossbow, a kind of bicycle,… NOTES HE WROTE
