Washington, D.C Student Trip May 4, Sunday- May 7 Wednesday Presented by: Evan Flury

Dates: The tour will depart via Charter bus on Sunday, May 4 (very early in the morning) Students will miss 2 1/2 days of school- Monday, May 5, Tuesday, May 6 and May 7 which is an Early Release Day. (Will be counted present at school) Students will return the evening of Wednesday, May 7.

Tour Includes: Roundtrip Transportation Meals (beginning lunch of departure day thru dinner on Day 4) Hotel Security Excellent Hotel Lectured Sightseeing All Admissions

Possible Itinerary Capital Hill Smithsonian Institution Newseum WW II Memorial Korean War Veteran’s Memorial Holocaust Museum Arlington National Cemetary “Ghost Tour” in Alexandria White House

Chaperones 1 Teacher per 10 students Limited number of Parent Chaperones to ensure kids wanting to go have the opportunity. We will draw names for the first 10 parents able to chaperone. If we have more room after we have all students registered we will contact remaining parents interested. Interested Chaperones must indicate interest in chaperoning prior to registering online. We will have a sign up sheet for you to complete tonight. The Adult price is $735.00 based on double occupancy NOTE alternative housing arrangements if desired by chaperone.

Price Price per student: $599 (Price based on AT LEAST 40 students participating) Deposit Due: Thursday, Oct. 31- $150 Payment Dates: –2 nd Payment: $150 on Monday, December 2 (plus $55 for RGP, if desired) –3 rd Payment: $150 on Friday, Jan. 31 –4 th Payment: $149 is Friday, Feb. 28

RGP and Cancellation Policy Refund Guarantee Protection (RGP): Should a tour participant for any reason be unable to attend prior to trip, RGP guarantees you a full refund of all monies paid. This is an additional fee of $55 due with deposit. Please read Cancellation Policy Carefully

Discipline (Before and While on the Trip) If student has a discipline referral (s) prior to the trip which results in 2 or more days of ISS the child is not permitted to go on the trip. A child who serves ISS 3 times due to missing ASD as a result of missing assignments is not permitted to attend trip. If a student has 10 or more absences and need to make up time they are not permitted on the trip. Any major infractions while on the trip will lead to the student returning home at their own expense.

FYI The tour is truly “all-inclusive” except for spending money. Dress code: Iredell-Statesville Dress code. No uniforms! Dress code: Iredell-Statesville Dress code. No uniforms! Please NO sandals. We will be walking A LOT! Bring comfortable shoes! Students may want to ask Mom, Dad, or Grandparents for a trip to DC for Holiday Gifts or upcoming birthdays.

FYI cont. Electronic devices permitted BUT students are responsible for any damaged or stolen electronics. Luggage- We will provide a “packing list” at a later date. One piece of luggage and one carry on allowed.

Registration Once parents and students sign the contract regarding behavior prior and during the DC trip a registration form will be provided. Complete the registration online or mail in form.
