VF Strategy for Regional Market Sourcing FTA’s have helped to keep VF in the Western Hemisphere – Flexibilities such as the Nicaragua TPL have been a key – An export promotion program that has actually worked – 1:1 ratio makes economic sense and deepened our ties with US fabric and yarn suppliers 3

VF Concerns Current agreement expires at the end of 2014 – A good US export promotion policy is now potentially at risk – Must address extension now, we need 12-18 months for planning production and raw material input strategies – We can not wait until the next Congress, it will be too late – If not extended by the end of 2012……. 4
5
VF Concerns Production shift out of the region – Could sever linkages we currently have with US mills – VF currently purchases approximately 50% of the US denim produced Overall health of the region will be impacted 5
6
Next Steps VF feels legislation is a possibility to extend the current agreement – Must have US Government backing in order to get this accomplished – Must act now in order to meet the needed time lines 6
