Pros about zoos Zoos can be very helpful to animals even though what I have presented has been all about zoos being cruel to animals. Certain animals can benefit from being in a zoo in these ways: Zoos can help the breed of the animal not become extinct when that breed in endangered. Small animals such as butterflies can feel like they are at home in the zoo because they are so small. The public can get a close look to animals they may never see in the wild. Zoos can help children with their education because they can teach children about animals and the way they live in zoos. Animals will never run out of food because they get fed everyday.

Cons about zoos As well as all the pros about zoos, there are some bad things that zoos can do to animals. Here are some examples of the cons about zoos: If an animal is being kept in a zoo enclosure, it’s behaviour might change-the way it usually acts. Animals are being watched all day and like humans, animals also want some privacy. To be bought into the zoo, the animal may have gotten caught from the wild. Animals won’t breed as much because they are not happy with where they are. Animals want to be in their natural habitat not just inside a zoo where everyone is crowding their enclosure.

Do zoos help animals? I think that zoos can help animals depending on why the animal is in the zoo and what animal is in the zoo. If the animal is in the zoo for no reason, just so people can look at it then I think that they deserve to be released into the wild. If the animal is in the zoo because it’s species is becoming endangered and the zoo wants to help it, then I think that that is a good reason for an animal to be in a zoo.

Should zoos release animals into the wild?
I think that it depends why the animal is in the zoo to whether it gets released into the wild or not. If the animal is in the zoo because the zoo wants the public to look at the animal then that animal deserves to be in the wild. If the animal is in the zoo because it’s breed it becoming endangered, then that's a good enough reason for an animal to be kept in the zoo.
