2. About BT Digital Champions Over 8 million people in the UK have never been online. BT Digital Champions are students that give an hour or more to help someone get online. Students train people. Students receive a Certificate for Record of Achievement. A great chance to develop new skills and experience to help with further work, training or education. Schools receive tickets for Rock Assembly 2013, a huge celebration rock concert! BT Digital Champions is managed in association with educational charity The Transformation Trust, creator of Rock Assembly. 2

4. Who to train and how? Do you know anyone at home or in your community who would like to learn something about computers – eg mum, grandad, younger brother or sister, auntie, family friends, adults in school? At Lister two IT Rooms will be available on Monday and Tuesdays after school (3.30 pm – 4.30 pm) on: Monday 26 th and Tuesday 27 th November Monday 3 rd and Tuesday 4 th December Monday 10 th and Tuesday 11 th December Using the letter provided invite that person, register and book a slot. Bring the person along, spend an hour training them on that skill, record your session afterwards and wait to receive your certificate and your ticket! 4

7. To take part and receive a certificate and a ticket to Rock Assembly.... Simply take a letter, recruit a member of your family or your community, fill in the tear-off slip indicating your three preferred times and return it to Student Reception at lunchtime during the next two weeks to register and book an appointment.
