Raskob (KIT) Progress achieved Preparedness at local – national level – Successful meeting in Madrid in March 2012 – Cooperation with Japanese colleagues established – learning from Fukushima – Several initiatives started using existing tools such as MOIRA and Web-HIPRE or discussing new approaches (e.g. risk assessments) – Discussion about the tools is on-going, proposals from Montbeliard are under discussion, others will come later Early notification – Concept of web interface with early notification (IAEA) completed, some basic coding started – Concept of meteorological pre-processing agreed (downscaling from global to local data) – Approach 1: use the global data – Approach 2: use the nesting approach (time and resources consuming) – Coding has started and interfaces to WRF completed

Raskob (KIT) Progress achieved Training, dissemination and demonstration – ICRP workshop in Bratislava, February 2012 organised by VUJE in cooperation with ICRP – 88 participants from 26 countries – Many international organisations participated (ICRP, IAEA, EC, OECD/NEA) – Next step is preparing for testing of new tools
